8.25.18 (bunnies and jazz)
There have been no more rat sightings after the last round of bush and tree trimming. I guess they got disgruntled with the changes we were making, packed up, and left. Aaron says they probably moved to Oregon and are living my dream while I’m stuck here (I frequently talk about leaving California for various reasons). The only animal sightings I’ve had recently were lizards and small wild rabbits with white fluffy tails when Alex and I go for our walks. The rabbits are adorable, but from what I hear they can be just as much of a nuisance as rats.
Alex is turning into quite a music lover. We started noticing a few months back when he found a toilet paper roll and played it as a trumpet. When I found a plastic trumpet at the dollar store he was ecstatic. I helped him search for trumpet music videos on YouTube and then let him go through the videos and find what he liked. He is, apparently, a jazz fan and his favorite video is a Wynton Marsalis Quintet that he now asks for by name.

His trumpet has had a few mishaps on our very unforgiving tile floor so at this point it may be more glue than trumpet. Alex still loves it though.
