Room transfer newbie question
My friends and I currently have a room at the Hilton (non refundable deposit). We would prefer to have a room at the Marriott. Assuming we do get lucky tomorrow morning how difficult is it to transfer the hilton room and (this is the big one) get our deposit back? How does that work? First Impressions of Auckland
Wow.. feels like I'm in the Pacific Northwest :) The weather is Portland in April. Sun out one moment, raining lightly the next. The city is hilly like Seattle and more coffee shops than seattle. Technology Success
So after many false steps and deleting half my hard drive (on purpose!) I finally figured out how to make a video. Here is my first attempt. Travel plans
So plans for Australia are coming along. Steve is still unemployed but he has three four fish on the hook right now so hopefully he can reel one of the interviews into a job before we leave. week of Gah!
so the big news this week is that Tuesday my hubbie macavite was laid off from work. The good thing about this is that I went in for surgery on Wednesday so now he and my mom are around to take care of me. The bad thing is the whole unemployed thing *sigh*. Super fun weekend!
So went to my first kinkfest this weekendand had a surprisingly good time. The parties were fantastic and the hotel worked out really well. I just loved the big open social area there. Didn't manage to make it to any of the workshops but did go to some of the community gtuop meetings, including one that ended up being a very valuable discussion ( Read more... ) -

So doing the serious shotgun approach to packing. If I throw enough stuff in the suitcase I'll figure out what to wear later. I'll need all 4 corsets right? Fortunately the hotel is only 10 miles from the house so if I miss something it isn't to far to come home and get it.. but still kinda funny :) -
Plane tickets booked!!
So mac finally got his yearly bonus (looks like it will be the last one for a few years - dang economy!) so I started looking at plane tickets to Australia for Worldcon and family visitation.
