I just wanted to post that yesterday evening, we finally got to really enjoy the "fruits" of our garden labor. I took some of the pureed tomatoes, that came from our own garden, and with Rob's hand at the seasonings, made it into a very tasty, and naturally no-added-sugar, speghetti meat sauce for dinner. What do you do when the tomatoes in the fridge get soft? Freeze them, of course. Man, that went quick. A minute to blanch, then literally pop the tomatoes out of their skins, stick them in the blender, fill, put on machine, press the puree button, pour into bag, fill, mark bag with sharpie, stick into freezer, and finally clean up. I decided to take a break tonight from the sewing (pressing actually), and ended up reading up on the SBD diet info on the net, especially the criticisms. I also want to point out that those dieting on SBD or Atkins, and on anti-depressants, should read the big bolded quote behind the cut.

Today's weight: 214 (16 pds in one month, not bad at all! My highest weight was 267, before I had Cam, so I've actually now lost 53 pds from that highest point; scary!)

Today's mood: better than before, but a bit down and tired taking care of both kids while Rob's at Brainshare this week.

I made a mexican lasagna from the SBD cookbook that was one of the spiciest dishes I've ever had. Cam of course didn't like it, and while I liked it ok, it is too spicy to eat much of, and Rob isn't one for spicy either, although he ate it.
