i've been stretching every morning for... about a week now. maybe a week and a half, i'm not sure. at first it was rough going - muscles didn't want to relax long enough to actually unwind, especially while cold in the morning, and that was frustrating. then i had my massage on tuesday, and i was reminded why i pay for those once a month. huge stormclouds have been blowing in from the coast all day, carried along by buffeting winds that occasionally push torrents of rain ahead of them. perched here on the hilltop, it's a sight both beautiful and frightening; inspiring and humbling. but mostly, there's a feeling of tension, the hesitant hush before the storm lets loose.

i had another massage today. certain muscles were far less tight, and far more responsive. also, they didn't hurt like a mofo. gail the masseuse said that's good, and sign of bloodflow returning. yay!
