Anya is nearly 16 months old!  Whoa, where does the time go?

• Walking.  She is doing so much better at walking.  The other day, we went to Sears and I let her just go.  It was probably her best day ever.  She loved walking around the store and was saying hi to everyone.  I think she made friends with everyone in the store.

Let's see, a lot has happened, so bullet form:

• Walking!  Anya is now cautiously walking.  Silly thing.  I hear about all this, "once they take a step, they're running in a week" stuff...and I laugh and laugh.  She still takes 3-4 steps then stops.  And she's been doing that for about a month now.  She's just so careful.  It's ( Read more... )

Anya is One!

We went to the aquarium this morning, then spent a lot of time at home trying to get a good picture.  Then, she decided that birthdays were so much fun, she'd only sleep for 45 minutes today.  She usually gets a good 2 hours of naps in on a normal day.  She was in such a bad mood tonight, we didn't get our cupcake pictures.  So, smash ( Read more... )

Yesterday was the year-anniversary of my official due date.  Yep, one year ago, I was sitting...waiting...waiting...waiting...  She just didn't want to show up on time.  Ah well.  We were doing daily walks around the neighborhood, and I think we went to our favorite Thai place several times that last week.  Nothing helped much.  She came on her own ( Read more... )

Here we are...in June.  Already.  My baby turns 1 this month.  At this time last year, I was impatiently awaiting her arrival, trying to ignore all the emails and Facebook messages from people saying, "Had that baby yet?!"  I was very big, trying to walk every night, eating spicy foods, and playing a lot of Warcraft.  A lot has changed.  :)

I can't believe Anya is 10 months old.

• Two more teeth, bringing our total to 6.  She's still vampire baby with her two incisors, but no middle teeth yet...the one on the right is really close to poking through, but not yet.
