Here we are...in June.  Already.  My baby turns 1 this month.  At this time last year, I was impatiently awaiting her arrival, trying to ignore all the emails and Facebook messages from people saying, "Had that baby yet?!"  I was very big, trying to walk every night, eating spicy foods, and playing a lot of Warcraft.  A lot has changed.  :)

I can't believe Anya is 10 months old.

Let's see...updates in bullet form:

• Two more teeth, bringing our total to 6.  She's still vampire baby with her two incisors, but no middle teeth yet...the one on the right is really close to poking through, but not yet.

This morning, I woke up from a dead sleep at 5:30.  What woke me up was hearing crying from a distance.  I practically leaped out of bed and cursed myself for forgetting to turn the monitor on.  Scott woke up too and said, in a stupor, "She's crying."  What pulled me out of my sleepiness was the strangeness of her crying...it didn't sound like her ( Read more... )

One of the best parts of the day is waking up to hear Anya talking to herself in her crib.  I love that she does this now instead of crying.  It's just so cute ( Read more... )

I really need to actually write here more often.

Anya since Halloween:

- at Thanksgiving, Anya's Grandma and Grandpa Hagarty came to visit.  It was a great time and we had a great feast.
- First Babysitter (that wasn't family).  Scott and I both had gigs we couldn't refuse and so we had friends of ours look after Anya.  It went pretty well, though she ( Read more... )

Ok, I don't know what happened.  Yesterday was three months, I swear.  I blink and a month goes by.  If this is how the rest of this goes, I'd like to know where the pause button is, please.
