We went in for our 37-week appointment yesterday.  My doctor wanted a sonogram to check the size of the baby and fluid levels, mostly because of the whole thyroid issue.  Everything is normal and baby is measuring at 6 lbs 6 oz. right now.  (So, I'm sorry, people who guessed that this girl will weight less than 7 lbs at birth...then again, these ( Read more... )

I went to the breastfeeding class that the hospital offers on Wednesday evening.  Very informative and I was glad that the hospital is so breastfeeding-friendly.  Really, it just reinforced the things I have been reading.  I bought "The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding" a few weeks ago and have been working my way through that gradually.  I liked that ( Read more... )

Well, I had my appointment on Thursday. Everything looks good. I gained weight and my doctor exclaimed with glee that the weight she saw was perfect. That's good. My blood pressure's good. Baby's heart beat is 146. It was an in-n-out appointment, nothing too crazy. Just a chance for me to ask random questions and them to keep monitoring me ( Read more... )
