I am seriously considering enlisting, but its been 4.5yrs since i started T and have yet to have surgery or a name change. I would be enlisting as female, but in all regards am anything but. Can a transperson join the auxiliary military? I was specifically wondering about the Coast Guard Auxiliary, Civil Air Patrol, or the Military Affiliate Radio System; but any others would be welcomed. Is there any record of any trans person serving in the military as their correct gender? I'm 21, T for four years, don't really need chest surgery--I don't have to bind/can go to the beach shirtless--and have not had any kind of surgery. I kind of feel like I'm going nowhere with life. So, I have two random questions. [One about marriage, one about the military.]

Since it is possible for people to change the marker on driver's license/s.s. card from F to M, does that mean a guy could get legally married if he did such a thing? Has anyone ever done this? Was it particularly difficult?
