Deducting SRS from Taxes

I'm planning on deducting a portion of my phalloplasty surgery from my taxes. I make ~40,000 a year and although my surgery cost was 75k, I want to deduct at least the hospital portion of the bill. It wasn't covered by insurance. I have documentation for about $25,000 from the hospital, I could get the whole thing but I feel like that is pushing it ( Read more... )
