Waiting on hurricane Earl. And waiting.... and waiting. Projected weather for today was rain after noon. Well, we got a shower, maybe. It's nine at night and there have been some more showers. So the guy came by this morning and took out he piston in the machine. He made it look so easy. Hardest thing was bleeding out all that oil. He took it away to be repacked. It was ready this afternoon, but I had to run, so he'll throw it in tomorrow morning ( Read more... )

The back hoe did not want to fire up again today. It finally did, with much smoke from the stack. I'm going to try to drain the filter tomorrow if I can get it out again. There is a glass filter that catches sludge which I tried draining before but with not so much luck, and I didn't know how to refill it before. If you recall I had a panic attack ( Read more... )

I was listening to NPR this afternoon, and the host was talking to someone over the phone. Apparently the guest had his phone on speakerphone, because you got that echoy far away sound, and also he was either on the other side of the world, where it was night, doing the interview outside, or he has some kind of animal the eats crickets in the room ( Read more... )
