Things that have happened lately.

Yesterday morning I stopped on a busy road to take pick up a dead kitten and put it off to the side of the road. Must have just been hit. Probably 8 weeks old or so. So sweet looking. WTF.

One of our lot owners who's 'husband' is buried in the cemetery has stopped by a few times to discuss the fate of her pets ( Read more... )

A few nights ago Muffin cam up on the bed, as she often does when we go to bed, and chases our hands under the covers (she seems to think there is a big rat under there or something.) She often settles between Ryther's legs, incidentally yet another trait of our old lady cat, who she seems to be the embodiment of. But this night she settled herself ( Read more... )

Muffin has made it her mission in life to piss me off by jumping on the counter. So neither of my paintings won anything at the art show. Not unexpected. I was really disappointed at some of the winners. I know part of it is who you know, and who the judge is. Spooky caught his first mole today. He was super excited about it, and would have loved to bring his prize indoors. I got him to let it go and it scampered to safety, and then I put the cat in and removed the mole from harms way. It's back leg looked injured, but otherwise it could move. I hope it's okay. Well, with the release of Diablo 3, I am very much again a widow of the next big thing. My LJ journey started as a widows refuge from WOW, which was also preceded by Diablo 1...
