Things that have happened lately.

Yesterday morning I stopped on a busy road to take pick up a dead kitten and put it off to the side of the road. Must have just been hit. Probably 8 weeks old or so. So sweet looking. WTF.

One of our lot owners who's 'husband' is buried in the cemetery has stopped by a few times to discuss the fate of her pets ( Read more... )

I haven't used my squirrel icon in a long time. Hell, that bird feeder died 2 years ago. But today was a day for baby squirrels. My neighbor had a nest, the second one in his porch roof. He had blocked it, but apparently not well enough. So along with the next came out 3 adolescent rodents. I didn't realized that was what I was hearing when I heard ( Read more... )

So I seem to have hit a hell of a patch of poison ivy or something. I noticed yesterday? That there was a black mark on my arm. At first I thought it was sap, then  it seemed more like a bruise or blood blister, only flat. Later in the day, it started to bubble and itch. I was whipping around the stones today and saw some dirt piled up a bit in the grass but didn't think anything of it and then 'poof' a bunny exploded out of the grass! Well he didnt quite explode , but up he popped. Little tiny thing smaller than my hand. I stopped the whip immediately and hoped like heck I hadn't hurt any of them. The boy and hubs went to Pax this weekend. Also along for the ride were our niece and nephew. It was a joint birthday gift for all of them. Not sure if Niece will go again next year, maybe just for a day instead.. but thing one and two had a grand time. Last week's art 'class' was very productive. I actually did a painting I liked. Although the model was SCARY at first. To begin with, she looked very similar to Biv in body type and face.
