Things that have happened lately.
Yesterday morning I stopped on a busy road to take pick up a dead kitten and put it off to the side of the road. Must have just been hit. Probably 8 weeks old or so. So sweet looking. WTF.
One of our lot owners who's 'husband' is buried in the cemetery has stopped by a few times to discuss the fate of her pets remains. She asked if she could have an oversized vault put in, with the intent that the boxes of her pets should go in with her. I told her she has 6 lots, she's only using 2 of them, she can do whatever the hell she wants. She can put a septic tank in for all I care. (I didn't put it quite that way). As for what she puts in the casket or the vault with her? I subscribe to the old addage from Hogan's Hero's.. "I know NOTHING! NOTHING!"
The model for our life figure class last week works in a funeral home. It was really fun to be able to talk shop for a change with someone in the biz. Even if she was naked. She plans on moving out of this godforsaken cold state as soon as she's got her license.
Himself if home for the holiday weekend. Only because everyone else went home. lol. It's nice to see him. We are going to visit with local granparents tomororrw, and I am going to see my mom on Sunday. Not sure if he'll come for that.
I'm donating one of my paintings to a fund raiser. Good way to get rid of it. Its the Klimt thats 2 X 3. It needs to go. I also sent one of my paintings to England to the person who it's of.. which has turned into a bit of a disaster. Bad enough it cost way more than I expected to send, but then on the other end, this free painting was held ransom by custom's. They may be able to get the money they had to pay back though, since it was a gift.. lets hope.
My friend Bear is in the hospital with some kind of issues, which have now also become or revealed kidney issues, basically because he's diabetic but has been living his live with a who cares, I cant do anythign about it attitude, which of course he can do something about it! And now the question is, does he take this as a wake up call, and does he have that second chance? I guess we'll have to wait and see.
I had an inspiration today for a painting. I saw a guy sitting on a lawn with his shoes off and I swear it looked like he was shooting up in his foot. I'm not sure if he was, but he looked like it.. and the way he was sitting made me think of "the dying Gaul', which is a subject I've considered painting in the past in one form or another.. but now I think I'm going to do it, as a drug addict injecting. Considering the overdoses in this country from heroin, I think it works. We'll see what it comes to. I have a million ideas.. not all of them happen. Actually very few.
