Snow is rapidly retreating.. though with more than 4 feet of this crap, it's not rapid enough. The mountians in front of my house are finally low enough that I can see the street again.  There is room for more snow should we get it, and trust me, I'm not ruling out an April Fools storm.. 2 so far in the last 18 years.. you never know anymore.

I finally remembered to get some of my photos printed. I'm a bit old fashioned in that I like to have photos on paper. But my concern is that the photo paper is wonky. I went to tear up the proof sheet thing that they print up with the photos, which is printed on the same kind of photo paper, and I couldn't tear it. So when I finally did get it ( Read more... )

So my FIL showed me some pictures of a little cemetery that they had stumbled upon, and it was full of old slate stones. (well, full but small). I checked it out on Findagrave, and lo and behold there were only two entries in the cemetery. So I have not been so good at adding to the database of the 1940 census, but on the other hand I have been adding to the Find a Grave site. Somehow it's more fun. I can only do one page every half hour on the census, and some of the writing is so horrible that it can be very frustrating. I lost my camera.. I don't know how or were, other than it had to do with the fact that I bought a new purse and the purse is smaller by a bit than the old one, and I think that the flap may have opened and the camera fell out. Yes, more computer frustrations. Trying to make the pixlemator program do ANYTHING at all. There are so many frustrating tutorials on line, all totally useless because they all begin in the middle, assuming I already know what all the tools do, how to get the photos where I want them.
