Windy winter's end.

Not writing much at all these days..

I replaced my camera. Same make as the old one, and it's mostly the same I guess so far. I haven't done too much with it yet. I still miss the old one.. but again, it was no its way out anyway..This new one is much thinner, and it only takes a kind of cell phone battery, the slim ones. which is rechargeable, but it means I'm going to have to keep an eye on it and if it runs down.. charge it up before it gets bad. Or no camera. No clue how long the battery will last. I should buy another batter as a back up.

I've gone a bit nutty on Find a grave. I forget if I mentioned that I finally found my gr. gr. grandmother and someone posted a photo of my gr. gr. grandfather's headstone in Chicago, which is super cool since I'll never get there. I'm hoping to get one of my other gr. gr. grandparents too.. hopefully. I found one 'requested' stone for someone, but haven't been out looking since then with the loss of the camera and the weather being not so great on the weekends. Today was windy and cold. Actually the last few days have been howling winds, although unusually warm until today.

I have so many photos of stones that I take when I go places.. that I decided to start putting them on FAG anyway. It's somewhat tedious, but fun too. And there is always the hope that it helps someone find someone they are looking for. My Cuz found her gr. gr. grandparents in Pennsylvania I think.. And the person who posted the photos knows someone who may be related... which would be cool.

My crazy friend from Oregon has finally made it back home. She then proceeded to leave again, without the kids though.. but she's back again. She said something about coming home and not having the electric on or something.. because the bills had not been paid. I don't know how she lives like that... I really don't. Her son was accepted to Berkley here in Boston, which is cool. She wanted to touch base to know if he went there we would be here if he needed something. Which is fine. Her son seems very polite and mellow. Not off the wall like her. I don't mind if he needed to call us for assistance or a place to crash if needed.. but not to stay for the semester.. he will need to find housing for that. We just don't have the room for a long term tenant. But I think she was more thinking if there was an emergency there would be someone close by if he needed help.

The kittens are doing well. Muffin put some holes in the shower curtain today.. but other than that she's been mostly good. She's obsessed with the water in the bathroom, and she's starting to figure out that there is a whole world above her eye level... which I am not thrilled with. I had to put flea meds on all three of them as the old beast has fleas and I know they all will if she does. It's part of the problem with her being in the cellar. Seems like once the eggs are down there.. they just don't die.. And she picks them up over and over because I don't keep putting the 'poison' on them.. because frankly I hate the idea of putting that into their system.. but it's the only thing that will get rid of the fleas... Frigging things. I haven't actually seen any fleas anywhere, but I know they are on her from the 'flea dirt' that comes off when I brush her..

It's funny the last few days of howling wind have been very unusual for this winter.. but were very typical of last winter. And now they are saying the winter moths might be horrible this year because of how many were seen last fall, although I thought that we had a very mild season last year, with very few worms and fewer moths than usual in the fall. But that may be just around us.. I know we have some parasitic flys in the area they are trying to breed to get rid of the moths.. I'm hoping they have been working.

We are re-watching Game of Thrones as I finish the book and prepare for the next season. Love the series.. Love the show and the book.
