Lactose intolerant anyway.
So I see I haven't posted about last weeks big adventure. My test to see if I was lactose intolerant... which I apparently ( I couldn't have told you this) am not. I had to fast for 12 hours before, so I didn't have anything from 9pm Monday to the time they gave me the drink at 1:30 the next day. I actually felt fine for the most part, a tiny bit hungry.. My stomach must have been shrinking because I had the hiccups and thankfully the drink cured them. So then it was a matter of getting blood drawn at intervals over the next 3 hours. I brought the Hunger Games.. get it? and read a bit of that, but then the coffee headache started to come in finally. And boy did it come in. Not a migraine, but close. When I was finally done, I got a bite at Dunkies, just to get the two tylenal down, and had more water, no coffee (after a certain point it just makes it worse I think) and went home and went to bed. My stomach was sick and all I wanted was sleep. I got up to oder the boy pizza (since Ryther was out with friends) and then back to bed I went. I woke up the next morning and was fine, but I decided it was time to cut way back on the coffee. I bought decaf too, so that when I do want the extra cup, I can at least take out the caffeine part.
And after all that, the tests were normal. I didn't make the appointment for the next test.. at this point I feel fine, better than in months and months. I really do think maybe it's early menopause or something. I mean, if it were stomach cancer or colon cancer or any of the other happy go lucky cancers I thought it had to be.. I shouldn't be feeling totally better, right? Well, certainly lets hope. lol
Spring has sprung.. or is it Summer? Was there ever a winter? Seems like the insanely overly hot days just get earlier and earlier. One year it was 90 on Father's day in June, then the next year Mother's day was crazy hot, then I think last year it was some time in April that we had crazy hot weather.. now it's mid March and it's 75 and up... WTF is wrong with this picture? And it's dry out there.. We din't have a totally dry winter, which we did have a few years ago with desiccated trees.. But it's pretty dry out there now.
I found a link to my gr. grandmother's sister on Ancestry. After finally figuring out that I had the wrong person (the census lists a man and woman with their names.. only the woman's date is off by just a few years so I assumed they screwed up.. No, I screwed up. She was the wrong one. So the woman who I thought was childless actually had 4 children. And now I'm finding all kinds of kids from them. I had always thought we were basically the only line that survived. I'm just hoping they actually exchange photos with me, instead of me sending them everything and getting nothing. I'll wait to see what they send me before sending more.. I did send some teasers. Maybe I'll get some answers.
We are re-watching Game of Thrones before the next season comes on..just so it's fresh. Love that show.
