Well, not really but Ryther is turning 50 this year and he's celebrating by doing a few fun things. It started as a trip to Germany for Octoberfest with a group of friends, but has morphed over time. My crazy friend stopped by a the cemetery today. Unexpectedly. She had her youngest son with her, the one that told me to F-U last time he was here and stayed over. (Just before they left he threw a rock at me and missed, so he's still as charming as ever).

Husband is off to the Great White Way (is that what it's called)  for a buisness trip. I'm left to fend for myself with the lad. lol

Did I mention that my MIL just got a new car a few weeks ago. She had an older CRV, which she was going to trade in but her mechanic desperatly wanted it. There was a whole 'thing' about it and finally she sold it to the mechanic who wanted it for a friends daughter. I have been woefully negligent in my LJ ing. Blame Facebook. I actuallly have lost braincells because of FB, and my ablity to read long things on line. I can still read books, thank goodness, at my ever so slow pace.

Things have been very very slow at the cemetery funeral wise. Which hasnt been terrible for me, since I'm just all done with funerals. I'm sick of them. Cremations I'm fine with, but I just don't want to do full funerals anymore. And I just know, with my Dr. appointment in a week, that that's exactly when a dozen will come in. I just know it.

Today we went to the dump to the swap area, and didnt find much. But on the way out, I had to dump some trash, and when I looked into the compacter you dump everything into, I saw an ancient trunk. Not a huge one, one about the size of a baby coffin. Now, your'e not supposed to take things out of the compactors, but no one was looking, so I opened ( Read more... )
