Not really much going on.
Things have been very very slow at the cemetery funeral wise. Which hasnt been terrible for me, since I'm just all done with funerals. I'm sick of them. Cremations I'm fine with, but I just don't want to do full funerals anymore. And I just know, with my Dr. appointment in a week, that that's exactly when a dozen will come in. I just know it.
Next Friday is the Dr. And if I'm up to it the reception for the next art show. And then 2 days of the art show and then done. I have to help my MIL set up the canopy for her table... Hopefully I'll be up for it. I'm feeling pretty good this week, with some bits of pressure here and there... we'll see....
It's finally rained. A good soak today, but we really need more. The trees are prematurely yellowing and tossing their leaves. One maple that I noticed last year dropped very early is again turning yellow.. I realy think it's probably going to die in the next 4-5 years. Maybe it just has outgrown the food supply where it's growing.
I have not done anything about finding a new hydrolic pump for the backhoe. Another reason I don't want any full funerals, we dont have our own backhoe to deal with them. Which just makes things more complicated and difficult. And costly. It's a catch 22. Lack of funds means not getting work done on the backhoe, assuiming I had a replacement part, and nothaving the backhoe means less income, assuming we had funerals. Personally, I'm really happy with just cremations. I could do those day and night.
We are actually goign to open our second 'cremation' section. Just got the markers in today so we can set them tomorrow. Need to finallize some ideas, but that's about it.
I'm on a crusade on FB to try to stop liking and get peopel to stop liking indiscriminatlly. I have been furious that FB doesnt show me what I want to see in my feed, but selects stuff based on some algarythm that means nothing to me. Its frustrating that, depending on what device or app or whatever it's called that I use to see FB, FB changes what I see. And I noticed that a lot of the things I'm 'liking' if you trace it back to it's origin, are some very sleezy and disgusting or racist or sexist pages, and by liking the item and or sharing, you are promoting their pages. Fuck them! So I'm trying to be more careful and more aware of what I like and share. And I'm trying to get the word out. Especially if I see a particularly vile page. Its a war someone has to wage, right? I mean, it's not like people are dying in the world... Oh wait, they are. sigh.
