I really need to keep up
So LD did kick Romney to the curb. Is he the back up man for when his actual nominee is rejected by Congress? We'll see. He's super good at making up with people he hates. Kind of weird and by weird I mean psycho, that way.
Merry Cristmas to any still on here. I recently picked up a Russian watcher, first new watcher in ages. I often wonder about that, when someone who doesnt speak your language adds you as a friend.. whats the attraction? Is the paranoia creeping in? lol yeah, I guess it will.
Christmas was good. It was again a year where I had no idea what to get for the in laws. So this year we said screw it and we made a donation in their names to some causes. Doctors without Borders and a local fire relief fund. We got a few small things too, but hell, if people dont have things on their wish list, and if nothign jumps out at me that screams "They need this!", then I'm done. I've tried in the past to put a $ cap on the spending, but even though the brother in law always cry's poor, he refused that. So whatever. I'm done with fighting and trying to find the 'perfect' gift. Gift cards it is.
I did feel bad that we did not know that my in laws family was at dinner today. They got us some gifts, but I of course had nothing for them. Again, no one tells us anythign, so there you have it.
My in laws went too crazy on stuff as well. I got some really great stone chisels because I've wanted to try my hand at stone carving (like I need another hobby???) and I got a set of them. And that would have been totally enough for me. But no, there is always other stuff... too much. Overkill. One nice thing, that's plenty!
The lad is home from school for the break. He's working still which is good and transfered to a store down here for the few weeks he's here. He's sick too, seems he always gets a never ending cough this time of year.
The weather is above normal, which is the new normal. I would like it to actually freeze so I can keep picking up leaves which I cant really do when the ground turns to mud every day because the frost thaws. It needs to make up it's mind.
Eyes blury, cant write. Probably one of the reasons I dont write as much is that I need glasses for the computer now.
