With Kim going to school full-time in January and me doing my clerkship in the city, we had to do a bit of vehicle switching now that she's home for a few days.  We paid for 6 months of insurance on Kim's car and will put some snow tires on it too, then a command start and tires on the vehicle that I'll be driving.  Happy Birthday, Merry Christmas ( Read more... )

I stayed up too late last night and by the time I got ready for bed and read my book for a few minutes I couldn't fall asleep.  Then the dogdamn dog kept whining in her kennel to go out so I got up twice to let her outside, and once to rattle her cage and threaten to make her into slippers if she didn't be quiet.

I really like my new job.  My boss isn't breathing down my neck, my co-workers are nice, the pay is great, and I feel pretty comfortable with what I'm doing.  I'm working another 3 days this week but after that, I don't know.  Too bad I couldn't work one or two days every week, instead of just being 'casual'.

I'm never surprised when it snows in April.  Annoyed, yes, but never surprised.

The howling wind woke me at 3 a.m. and when I got up to go to work this morning, my van was covered in snow and surrounded in snow drifts.  The winds were crazy, 70-100 km per hour!  That kind of wind blowing around the snow made for a bit of a tense drive to work.  The ( Read more... )

* Spend all day getting ready for our weekend away, overwhelmed by my To Do list.
* Errands done at lightning speed after Kim gets home from school
* Swiss cheese memory enables me to forget to pick up Julia's homework for Thurs & Fri.
