preparing to hibernate
With snow on the ground, my Vegas trip and Julia's birthday behind me, I've started thinking about Winter. Compiling Christmas lists, planning indoor projects, finally putting away the summer and Halloween stuff - it feels good.
It's strange to celebrate family birthdays and holidays without Kim being here. Usually, while I'm out with the Littles trick or treating, Kim is at home handing out candy. This year, Jack was out with the girls and there was no one here to hand out candy, so I have piles and piles of it leftover! And Kim was noticeably absent from Julia's birthday pictures :-/
It's back to work for me on Tuesday. There will be 6 days of work piled up on my desk when I get there - deep breaths, one paper at a time, right?
