My iMac arrived yesterday and it is pretty slick. I'm glad that I wasn't totally new to the Mac experience or I'd be lost. A lot has changed since I got my MacBook years ago. It's been a week since Maggie and I got out for a walk due to a snow storm, and temps hovering in the -25C range. Today, we walked! We both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It's a brand new day, absolutely gorgeous outside and Maggie and I will be going for a walk! I'm sure that she will be a handful seeing we haven't been out in several weeks. Today is the first day in quite a while I haven't had any place to go. It is wonderful. The dogs let me sleep until almost 8:30 which is pretty amazing. I've been very busy lately getting our house in Redwater ready to go up for sale. Our youngest daughter and her fiance have moved in with his parents and will eventually move back to the city. I had my follow-up appointment with the surgeon today. He seemed pleased with my progress; pushing and tugging on my knee to check stability. I have been given permission to walk up and down the stairs like an adult, rather than one step, one step, one step. Hubby, Teddy and I participated in the CIBC Run for the Cure today. We did the 5 km route but we walked instead of running the route. Teddy was a big hit with his pink CIBC Run for the Cure leash and bandana. He had his picture taken several times.

Yesterday I walked to the town office and the post office. I've discovered that the compression garment I have to wear affects my walking gait. By the time I got home I was pretty sore, especially my hips. This morning I was pretty sore everywhere but I decided to walk on the treadmill anyway. I saw the plastic surgeon this afternoon. He seems like a nice man, shorter than me and he is Chief of Plastic Surgery at one of the hospitals in Edmonton. I told him what I was hoping for with regard to my breasts and he assured me that he would be able to do it.
