Hubby, Teddy and I participated in the CIBC Run for the Cure today. We did the 5 km route but we walked instead of running the route. Teddy was a big hit with his pink CIBC Run for the Cure leash and bandana. He had his picture taken several times.

Hubby and Teddy - both looking very handsome
He was a good little dog; politely sniffing other dogs - nose to nose, and didn't bark once.
We covered the course in a pretty good time and our daughter
kailiia achieved a new personal best for a 5 km run. She ran her first half marathon a couple of weeks ago.

kai and me, just prior to the start of the "run".
I'm glad that we participated. One of the runners tagged me on his way past and gave me a thumbs up saying "survivor". He also encouraged kai to keep going when she started to walk as she was nearly at the finish line. I saw one of the ladies that went through treatment and the support workshops when I did. She is doing well and looks good. I think it's important the survivors come out to these events. It might be just the sign of hope that someone newly diagnosed needs. I'm little stiff and I have a "nice" hot spot on my left foot. This tells me that I need to start walking more so that next year my feet don't end up sore.
