Oh Happy Day!
It's been a week since Maggie and I got out for a walk due to a snow storm, and temps hovering in the -25C range. Today, we walked! We both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was great to get out in the fresh air and watch Maggie playing in the snow. She is fast asleep and snoring on one of the love seats in the living room.
I also shoveled the snow off of the stairs and the deck off the dining room. The dogs like to go on the deck to bark at the birds and eat bird seed. (weird I know, but they are my dogs)
For months Teddy has been waking us up very early in the morning. I didn't know why and both Hubby and I were getting pretty tired of getting up at 5:00 am. Last week Teddy bumped into Hubby's leg while trying to jump on our bed and started favoring his left hind leg, but only some of the time. Teddy is now six and seems to be put together with left over bits. He has sensitive "shoulders", and overshot lower jar, awful teeth and when we had him neutered they had to go into his abdomen in order to remove one testicle that didn't descend. I'm pretty sure he was a puppy mill dog, but I fell in love with him the moment I saw him, so I had to bring him home. Anyway, I got to thinking that maybe he is a little arthritic. So we put a pillow like kennel pad into both his and Sophie's kennels and he has been sleeping until 8:30 and beyond. Woo Hoo! Perhaps we can all enjoy a bit more sleep.
I finished another project this morning, although it isn't a Christmas project. Actually I finished what I needed to get completed before the New Year. Our pastor wants to send all the adults and teens a birthday card this year and I offered to make them. I've completed 72; 24 for each. That should be enough for at least January and I'll continue making them after all the Christmas projects are completed. This evening Hubby and I are planning to write in and address all the Christmas cards that are going in the mail.
Well, I guess I should attend to the laundry. Several loads being washed and dried today.
