Today I had my first meeting for the teaching practicum course. Honestly, I was pretty intimidated looking over the syllabus, but by the time the day came to a close, I was quite excited to begin teaching. A week and a day after I move in, and several weeks after Casey moved in, we finally have the internet in the comfort of our own apartment! (Before we'd been using the internet in the freezing lobby.) It took a but of waiting, several visits from the tech man, and a few phone calls on my own part, but now it works!!! So today my Mom told me that since Kohls was having such a great sale on home decor, she wanted to get me some wall art for the apartment as a apartment-warming gift, and showed me some things she'd like to get me, and let me pick out what to put in my place, which was a lot of fun, and took me awhile - I'm indecisive ( Read more... )

So today I did more organizing, and finally started getting the bedroom looking like real people live there. I think the biggest thing done apartment-wise was hanging up the wall art with Casey. Today I unpacked tubs, boxes, organized the recycling, watched TV, and made a template for keeping track of where I'm spending my money, and where Casey and I together are spending money. So, I'm here in my new apartment, and it's been quite an overwhelming day, but VERY productive. I liked driving out here with Dad, that was nice, even thought a lot of the drive was quiet.
