Day 4 - Relaxing, Unpacking, Organization

Jul 29, 2008 23:35

Today I unpacked tubs, boxes, organized the recycling, watched TV, and made a template for keeping track of where I'm spending my money, and where Casey and I together are spending money. I also cut my aspen picture down to size and framed it, organized the bookshelf to my liking with the addition of some pottery (until I know where to put the rest of it) and put my spider plant Layla atop the bookshelf in a pot. Oh, and I organized my desk and all my academic crap.

And watched a lot of scrubs in the process, and ate those delicious leftovers from Danielle's dinner yesterday. I didn't think I could finish all those noodles, but once I added some sesame seeds, I finished it all and wanted more.... *delicient* (haha)

I am so impatient for everything to be unpacked and "DONE" looking, because I can't wait to send people pictures of the place!!! Tomorrow I'm employing Casey to help me hang things, like the aspen picture, the poppy picture, the black photo frame in the bedroom, and my marker board. I love that antique map board, reminds me of living in clock tower with Julia, Maggie, and Kerri.

Speaking of, I talked to Julia this morning (yogurt!) and it was a nice conversation, and I hope we yak again soon. Must remember that I have to call Dan, Bryan, and Heather for yakking dates too.

I am loving this apartment. It's felt like I fit here since the minute I walked in the door, and I'm very happy about not having to adjust to this feeling like a little home. I'm still getting used to the city, (cities make me uncomfortable, so much potential danger) but hopefully that'll come with time as I get used to the area. I should take a bike ride to Schnuck's soon some afternoon. That'll get me out of the little apartment, but is still quite nearby. I do love the view of the city out of all our windows. Great views.
