My FH and I are hoping to have our wedding in a park (tbd) and have my family make the food (en masse, aunts, uncles the whole lot). We're trying to be as eco-friendly as possible with our wedding. Rather than use so much paper for individual place cards, I'm trying to think of other options...but as we're expecting 125 people, we need to assign tables somehow! I've seen a roster-style list of all names in alphabetical order and the table number, but what are some other ideas? ( Read more... )

Any ideas for non paper Save the Dates? I don't really want to use more paper for environmental reasons. I know magnets are an option but are there any others?

We jut got engaged on Tuesday, but since Eric will have to start studying for the Bar in spring, and we have no idea where we'll be living after he passes, we realized this fall is our best option, rather than waiting two years!
It totally shocked me last night to see that it's only 100 days until the date we're aiming for - October 26!

It would be cheaper for us to buy utensils, plates and glasses from The Dollar Store than to rent them.  A downside is that we'd end up with a bunch of dirty dishes that we and/or our parents would have to clean.  Then again, FH's parents have a dishwasher, so that might not be too bad.  I'm left with the question, what do we do with all those el ( Read more... )
