We jut got engaged on Tuesday, but since Eric will have to start studying for the Bar in spring, and we have no idea where we'll be living after he passes, we realized this fall is our best option, rather than waiting two years!
It totally shocked me last night to see that it's only 100 days until the date we're aiming for - October 26!

I am so glad ( Read more... )

Alright dish on the locations since I'm a local!

I used seal and send and loved them. I got them back in about a week and a half I think. The site is really easy to use. We chose the Autumn design and used "mocha" ink.

A lot of brides are going the BM route, its whatever makes you feel beautiful!

AND CONGRATS!!!!!!

Assuming I can get a permit and have all my questions answered, we're having the ceremony at Eisenhower Park in Orange. Here's a picture I took yesterday:

That is so cool about the park, I've never been there but love the open space!

And the reception could be a lot of fun! My FH is also a gamer and there is a pool table and dart board in our reception place (and we're doing a photobooth) I never even thought of D&B, hopefully he doesn't read this!

I am most likely going to use clear address labels with a nice font, but havent addressed them yet, so we'll see. They fold up really well. A note someone told me on here before, buy additional clear circle stickers and stick the sides so that it doesn't get caught in the post office machines. Also, allow extra time for the RSVP cards because no matter what the postage, post cards are second class mail.

That is a great dress! Very bridal-ish! And score on the price! I got mine on sale for $349 but $99 is much better!

Thanks! I picked it out myself! I actually had another one in mind for a year, and when we went to seriously look at them, this one just happened to be in the case right next to the desk!

If it's a BM dress in white that you love, GET IT!!! It'll probably be worlds cheaper than a true bridal dress anyway. So if you can get what you love for cheaper, it's win-win all around, right?

Don't forget places to register, getting the actual liscence, bridal party, and reception/ceremony music choices :)

I wore this bridesmaid dress for a friend's wedding, so I know it looks good. And the white one is on sale for $99 right now!

But I still want to go try on the big frilly things for fun!

We're not going to register, have to look into license, have to figure out guest count before bridal party [don't want a dozen people standing up there if there's only 40 people!], and have to figure out if we can have music/sound in the park, and the whole iPod/MC issue for the reception. More for my list! Thanks!
