I know a lot of people are considering doing eco-friendly weddings or incorporating eco-friendly things in them.

My question is, to those of you who have given an eco-friendly favor (sapling, seeds, etc) do you think people actually planted them, or just took them home and let them die? I'm considering getting little seed packets or some saplings perhaps but I don't want to get them if they're not going to use them. I know it depends on the people and all but I just want to know what people's experiences have been.

I'm thinking about bamboo favors, or little packets of seeds, really. I'm not sure I want to do a sapling. I think the bamboo favors would be nice, people could just keep those in their bedrooms or something and they don't require a lot of work.

And, I went for a tour of the first venue I had in mind today. It was the Greenside Cafe (http://www.herecomestheguide.com/location/detail/greenside-cafe). It was nice, the place wasn't the greatest but it was well suited to my needs. The lady I talked to was very nice and helpful, and she's been good about emailing me lately and things. They are offering the ceremony and reception, minus a cake, DJ, and officiant, for 2750. I think that's pretty reasonable. I want to go to two other places to see what they are like, and then I will make my decision.
