Ok, teeny tiny rant, but honestly, why all the emphasis on doing a registry when the guests don't buy off of it! I have 2 showers tomorrow, and I've been checking out our registry, and people are just buying things that we don't want/need instead of what we've put on the registry. How far in advance did you order your cake (if you went through a bakery)?  I called the place we plan to order through and they said about 2-3 weeks ahead.  Obviously if that's what they said it's right, but I'm a nervous nelly and I do everything far in advance(plus the knot.com tells me to do everything way early it seems).  It makes sense ( Read more... )
