All right, WPs, I've been thinking of posting it for a while, and here I go. THE CAKE post!
I hope you are well.
We will have a 3 tier round cake, 6-8-10", we have an option of mixing flavors and fillings as we want - even 2 in one tier.
Flavor options we chose so far:
1) Fresh strawberry
2) Cosmopolitan (cranberry, vodka, triple sac, lemon juice... mmm)
3) Carrot cake
4) Double chocolate fudge
Cosmopolitan flavor has less sugar than others, it is important for FH's mom with diabetes. I know we've got to have Cosmopolitan and Carrot cake. :)
Filling options:
a) Chocolate buttercream
b) Raspberry - whipped or preserves
c) Strawberry - whipped or preserves
d) Blackberry - whipped or preserves
e) Caramel
f) Crushed Oreo or coconut in standard buttercream filling.
Soo... Obviously strawberry goes with strawberry filling, and FH doesn't want chocolate with chocolate filling, but what else goes together well?
Options are: one flavor per tier, 2 flavors per tier (top and bottom, divided by the filling), all cake in one flavor. Fillings can't be mixed.
How would you do it, and what flavor goes to what tier?
Thanks!
