lucas is two weeks old today, on his original estimated due date. last night was challenging, else i would wax ecstatic over my love for our little boy. off to sleep, as squeaky bear has gone down for a nap. when will the crazy fatigue ever end? to end on a good note, we've nursed all day without the pesky nipple shield. so i'm exhausted, ( Read more... ) -

finished savannah's hat last night and it turned out really well. got lost in the pattern a couple times and had to undo several rows but was able to figure out where i made the mistake and fix it with minimal swearing. it was my first time to attempt lace knitting, and i doubt that i'll be making anything bigger than a preemie hat anytime soon.

i got a text this morning from my mom that was rather startling. my childhood friend/neighbor kristi had her baby girl last night. she was due on july 5th, and we would joke about going into to labor on the same day and our children sharing a bday. kristi and her mom were shopping in walnut creek, her water broke and savannah made her appearance ( Read more... ) -
