i got a text this morning from my mom that was rather startling. my childhood friend/neighbor kristi had her baby girl last night. she was due on july 5th, and we would joke about going into to labor on the same day and our children sharing a bday. kristi and her mom were shopping in walnut creek, her water broke and savannah made her appearance ( Read more... )

Holy crud... didn't see that coming... except for the edema, I guess (and that's just a guess). Send her our good wishes for the baby if you talk to her.

This, however, does not mean it will happen to you. Unless you have that weird white cell connection and identical dna with Kristi. Hrm... you did very conveniently live in the same court growing up... twins split apart at birth, but raised in proximity???

Honestly, just be chill and all will be well.

if only my mom would chill, i'd be fine.

got a few more details today -- savannah weighed 4 lbs 16 ozs and was 18 inches long. only requiring small amount of supplemental oxygen, so things look pretty good. kristi is coming home today, and the baby shower is still on. don't know when baby might be home -- probably in a couple weeks. i'll have the full scoop after i get back from napa on saturday.
