lucas is two weeks old today, on his original estimated due date.  last night was challenging, else i would wax ecstatic over my love for our little boy.  off to sleep, as squeaky bear has gone down for a nap.  when will the crazy fatigue ever end?  to end on a good note, we've nursed all day without the pesky nipple shield.  so i'm exhausted,

It should begin to even out soon. They actually start sleeping through sooner than later and you get a part of your sleep-life back. I seem to remember 3 weeks being a benchmark.

i hope so, as one to two hour cat naps are starting to drag. i remember fondly sleeping in ob the weekend for 8-10 hours. *sigh* right now i'd love four uninterrupted.

thanks! i told myself that two weeks was enough with this bs and that today we were taking a mini-nursing-vacation and see what we could do. he has been willing and able to nurse without it before, so i knew that we were ready. of course, now he likes to see how far he can pull his head back without unlatching, so that's been fun. i guess there will always be something to complain/post about. ;)
