I've not done much sewing over the last little while, then I had a burst of productivity. So far I've sewn two Birka caps, similar to this one, and one jacket - need to put trim on for nephew, no pics yet. Now, I've started to work on a Norse coat/caftan for myself. no pain, can think, can focus. Crossing fingers and toes this lasts more than a few hours

Finally finishing tunic from late June. Looking forward to sewing more persona appropriate garb. Lots of research to do.

A short post just to say I made it to Trillium War. Despite major migraine, didn't crash car and only managed to forget dish soap. Tent was raised in time to protect us from two major downpours that left dear sister soaked as she finished staking the tent. I was inside, trying to rest. Some progress, lesson's learned in silk banner making. The banners aren't horrid, but they are nowhere near good. I now know what that the blue I ordered is wrong, like the green, red and yellow. Must not buy clear gutta, like gold gutta and need to use black gutta more. Also, put some dye in a bowl, rather than using the bottle. Spilt 2/3 of the ( Read more... )

Neighbor's mum just called. They are coming from Prince Edward Island - a two to three day drive - to stay. They use my upper driveway to park their motor home on. Neighbor has room, but too many trees overhang for NM. They will be bringing me an offering of fresh lobster- dances - bottle of wine in fridge chilling ( Read more... )

Good thing I asked for a sample of the things to trick dogs into taking pills. Sophie liked it, but the pill fell out. As the pills are $8 each, it rescued it and shoved it down her throat. She's on two antibiotics, thankfully one is only once a day. Urine specimen grew something - now waiting for further tests. Still managing to step in a puddle ( Read more... )
