I've not done much sewing over the last little while, then I had a burst of productivity. So far I've sewn two Birka caps, similar to this one, and one jacket - need to put trim on for nephew, no pics yet. Now, I've started to work on a Norse coat/caftan for myself. Two wool blankets from thrift store have been used for the lining and I am using ( Read more... )

I kept meaning to comment re Sempra. We need some sort of fan thingy to pull us all together. Things are rather flat lately, mind you I've not been contributing at all, kicks self.

So happy to hear Bram is doing well and delighted you saved her from herself in re: skunks. I'm very sorry to hear that the migraines are being awful. Here's wishing you some respite and happy sewing! Fantastic work finding the new doors for such a good price!

I'm sorry to see them leave, too. I hope their work stays put, at the very least.

Scrambling frantically, yet not going as fast as I'd like. There is a lot of paperwork concerning taxes, employees and generally settling everything related to the business.

Also, I knew we had lots of books, but it looks like they're creeping out of every crevice.

And of course there's a bit of squabbling over what to keep and what to get rid of :)

I'm so happy that Brambling is enjoying life, for all she sleeps a great deal.

The coat looks fantastic. And it sounds as though you had some real luck with purchasing timber. All hail the handyman brother!
