Walkies
I've started walking home from work this week. I change into gym-style clothes and power walk it. Rabbit thinks I should jog the whole way, but 1) it hurts my knees to jog, and 2) my backpack is kinda heavy so it's uncomfortable to do it. We'll see if I can progress from here, though. Back Porch Show of Awesome
This weekend I got to do the best performance in the world. It didn't include bright lights or microphones or amplifiers. There wasn't even a stage. There were no big crowds, no paycheck at the end, nothing like that, but it was by far the greatest performance I have ever done ( Read more... ) -
Must remember to breathe
Interview is today. At 1pm. I'm going to take my lunch at noon and take over a study room in the library. I'll have my laptop with me so I can have the policies and degree requirements up on the screen to refer back to if I need it. I got a makeover done yesterday and I'm all dressed up in my new dress and high heels and makeup. I look really good ( Read more... ) -
Lions and Mooses make funny noises
Spent this weekend up in Phoenix with my mom and sis. It was productive-ish; we got my dress for the rehearsal dinner cut and my mom is going to hem it so it will be about tea-length. Corsets are a pain
Worked on my corset for the elizabethan challenge. Corsets (under pair of bodies) are a pain in the butt to do. ugh.
Tired. Didn't sleep last night.

This is what we call an Upswing
Things are on the up and up right now which is very good. Wrote a letter and sent it out and so far the responses have been positive. Got some good news at work and once the numbers are crunched and come through I will be working 40 hours a week.
