Spent this weekend up in Phoenix with my mom and sis. It was productive-ish; we got my dress for the rehearsal dinner cut and my mom is going to hem it so it will be about tea-length. Things are on the up and up right now which is very good. Wrote a letter and sent it out and so far the responses have been positive. Got some good news at work and once the numbers are crunched and come through I will be working 40 hours a week. Knighting outfit is done. It's white. I didn't think I would look good in white. I was wrong. Looks really good on me. Persian style and I think I finally got it right. Rabbit and I took a car-full of people down to the Mons Tonitrus Thunderbolt Tourney that they host every year as a fundraiser for their newsletter. Boy-o fought rapier and armored combat and he won both tournaments! I am so proud of him; he did a great job and he was very sweet, coming over so I could kiss him before every fight. Rabbit's got a brand-new tunic for Coronation and it looks smoking if I do say so myself. I'm quite pleased with it for the most part, although there was a bit of arguing with the fabric for a little bit there. He's going to look quite nice and I'm excited about that. Mixed Weapons War was last weekend. Wow. That was an awesome war. People aren't kidding when they call it the relax-a-war. It was so laid-back, so nice. Got 2 boar or's done for Great Helm. I don't think Shoshanna was very pleased with them, but i got them done and I was proud of my work. I'm trying my hand at calligraphy so the writing isn't 100% but I can honestly say that I tried and that I succeeded. I'm really trying to practice every day, but my fingers turn purple after a while and really hurt. I'm still building up the callouses on them (which sucks because I cannot stand not having soft hands) so it's a slow process.
