While my purple fingers continue to strum
I'm really trying to practice every day, but my fingers turn purple after a while and really hurt. I'm still building up the callouses on them (which sucks because I cannot stand not having soft hands) so it's a slow process. Also still trying to find songs to learn on guitar as well; I only know so many folk songs and want to learn more. *sigh* But I'm still excited that I'm finally learning to play. I'm hoping that if we go to CA for Thanksgiving I can talk my Grampa into bringing his guitar out and us playing together. That would be the best time evAR :o)
Lots of things are changing around here. Can't go into the details just yet, but future plans are evolving and changing quite a bit now... Some good, some frustrating, all for the better on a whole. I know it's all for the best, but it still sucks in the long run in my opinion.
Reading the Twilight series per Rabbit's request. I'm on book 3 and so far it's my least favorite, but Rabbit keeps saying book 3 is the worst but you have to read it to understand stuff that's going on in book 4. Well fine. I can't stand Jacob or the other werewolves; I much prefer the vampires without question. Maybe it's because they're pale-skinned like me, or because they 'look' beautiful and that's a common society appreciation thing. Who knows. All I can say is Bella is being a dumbass about Jacob and needs to quit talking to him already. 'Nuff said.
I have 2 hemlines I have to handsew that my mom's going to help me pin unless I can talk someone else into it; I love my fiance but he doesn't quite get how to pin a hemline. Also working on Impact and Kavin/Jose's embrotherment scrolls; they're coming along. One I have to come up with wording for, the other I have to adapt an image for it. I'm really itching to do more scrolls; hopefully once I'm done with these two I can start doing more baronial and kingdom level scrolls in the SCA. Also needing to work on my singing; I still have to finish composing my chanson. No idea what I'm going to do. Oy.
