Help pick songs to learn on guitar!

So I'm learning guitar. I'm doing ok, though the guitar's name is still Screaming Cat :oD However, I'm starting to learn actual songs now, and the problem is that I don't really know many songs that other people will want to sing.
I'm looking for a little help here, people. Can you give me a couple songs that you'd like me to learn? Nothing horribly complicated, please, I'm having enough trouble with 4 chord songs as it is, but still... having a list of songs gives me something to strive for and I'll be able to bust SC out and everyone (or most everyone) will be able to join in.
