We finally moved to the City. We found a large studio in the Tenderloin. Sure, it's grungy and shady, but it's also extremely diverse, charming, and historic. The area we live in is called Little Saigon, so there are many Vietnamese restaurants and businesses around us. Was about to go on a bike ride, but I got out and turned back around. It was too windy and gloomy. I was already getting used to the sunshine this week. Oh well. At least I got to ride my bike yesterday with Adam in Emeryville. Not much goes on in Emeryville unless you want to go to Ikea or any big-box retailers. -

Another Saturday alone.
Yesterday, I rode the Iron Horse Trail from Dublin/Pleasanton Bart in Alameda County to Pleasant Hill Bart in Contra Costa County. It was a nice 20 miles stretch through backyards, office parks, and rural/suburban communities. The highlight for me was riding through Danville's green, small-town neighborhoods.

Valentines Day was four days ago.
For Valentines Day, I got Adam a box of chocolates and a pepper mill. He loved both gifts a lot. The chocolate was from Recchiuti, probably the best chocolatier in San Francisco. We ate most of it but Adam wants to save the best pieces for last. I got the pepper mill from Sur La Table. I have to say, freshly ground pepper is so much better ( Read more... ) -
Long Weekend and Chinese New Year Parade
Today is day number two of a five-day weekend. It was originally going to be a six-day weekend because I worked an extra day a couple weeks ago for this training in San Francisco. Day Trips
So Adam and I have been going on quite a few day trips, mostly in the North Bay. I took some photos of our first trip to Point Reyes last September and I barely uploaded them today. It was much foggier and warmer than last weekend when it was sunny and cold.
