Adam found a job at this new restaurant in San Francisco. Today is his second day. Now that I have time alone, I can do things like paint, take photos, and update my journal.
We went up to Sonoma a couple weeks ago for brunch. There's a restaurant in Duncan's Mills that I went to a few years ago and had great French toast. They also have amazing eggs Benedict. When I went again, the food was just as good as I remembered. I want to eat there every time I'm in the area. Adam and I want to go back up there for bike riding.
Last weekend, the weather was unseasonably warm. Adam's brother came up with his girlfriend for vacation. We spent a lot of time in the city trying to meet up with them, but they were so unpredictable. We went to Chinatown and got yanked into a restaurant. Somehow, the host knew we were hungry and pulled us in. After we ate, the server told us we didn't tip enough and that we had to tip more. I was so confused, we left what they asked for.
The more we go to the Mission, the more we want to live there. There are a lot of great restaurants and bars. If we don't move there, another alternative would be Tenderloin. It's shadier, but it's a great, central location. Plus, all the hipster clubs are there. I still think Oakland's a great city. Even if I move out, I'll still be working here.
