Ok so I've decided what I'm going to do with this blog.
Basically entropic_angel will be my regular blog. This one I think I'll use for posting writing i.e. stories, setting ideas e.t.c.
just thought I'd let folk know. -
writing
I keep meaning to get back into writing. However due to time constraints this hasn't been particularly possible. I wonder if I should try and set a small amount of time, say an hour or so, aside for writing each day. I get fed up of having ideas kicking around in my head and them never seeing the light of day.

Changes
So I've been making some changes in my life. Nothing too major, just little things to try and make myself happier, healthier, make things better e.t.c. and I think it's working. So what have I done.
Taken up Karate: Well taken up might be too strong of a term as I've only been to two sessions. This is not due to lack of motivation more due to things ( Read more... ) -

Dr Who game
Started playing in a Dr Who game yesterday. I'm playing the group time lord, a steam-punkish fellow by the name of Kai who has a rather strange fondness for strong tea and carries a thermas flask round with him and has a rather wandering memory. I'm still trying to settle on his exact character but I'm going to have fun playing him. For a bit of ( Read more... ) -
Karate
As part of my new found drive to do more things and generally do more with life I decided to try out Karate. I remember doing this or something like it as a kid and recently have thought that I'd like to do something different with my time and thought why not attempt some sort of martial arts again ( Read more... ) -
back to lab
Back into the lab today; this prospect doesn't exactly fill me with enthusiasm. We have the Honours students turning up today, so guess who'll be dealing with them. Not that I mind so much it's just that with honours students comes the inevitable bitching, whining and general pettyness of the other lab-folk. Return
Back in Edinburgh now after a somewhat extended holiday due to essentially being snowed in for a couple of days and so forth. Train journey back wasn't too bad, although it involved going to Sheffield and changing on to the service an hour later as the one I was meant to catch was seriously delayed. Think I should offer up my thoughts on Dr Who, the end of time. In short I liked it, was hugely enjoyable. was it extremely over the top? Oh yes very much so. Then again that's when Dr Who tends to shine, when the whole thing gets throws caution, restraint and sanity to the winds and it becomes a story of mad, beautiful ideas.
