Community update

As some of you undoubtedly have noticed, gardening is getting a little bit of a face lift!

Over the next week you'll see tweaks of color, image, and layout. I donated 2 months of paid time to the community, which will allow us to customize our appearance and include a few additional features.

For what it's worth, I prefer a non-fixed width layouts in picture heavy communities. here is an example of what I'm talking about.

The actions bar also seems a bit cluttered and out of order. For example, beneath a comment the options are "Link | Reply | Thread | Track this" obviously in alphabetical order. "Reply" REALLY needs to be first. Personally, I'll never use "Tell a friend" or "Link" because I can cut and paste the address just as fast. On the other hand, I love the "Track this" option.

moved the sidebar to the left-hand side, that helps with the image overflow.

I'll have to look into the re-ordering of the meta-links with posts, that's one of those tricky s2 things but I'm pretty sure it CAN be done.

I'll try to finish tagging through June 30, 2007 this evening and turn in a list of additional requested tags. Looks like stuff is getting very well organized very fast. Thanks!
