Palma Sola Botanical Park is just a few blocks from me and I love going there for the solitude, beautiful plants and ponds. When I can park in a certain area, usually one of the last things I do as I am getting in my car to leave is take a couple of pictures of the area that is right in front of me. I spotted this little rabbit at Palma Sola Botanical Park yesterday. When I first saw him the surroundings and background were not the best for a photograph, but then he accommodated me by quickly hopping into the nearest flower bed. Thanks so much.

I made a quick trip down to Palma Sola Botanical Park yesterday just before sunset and got a few pictures of the last light of day. The gnats were thick as gravy and the mosquitoes were hungry and horrible so I didn’t stay long at all. One got in the car with me and kept flying around my face and I almost went off the road! I am so excited!

I haven’t been this excited about anything in such a long time! (actually the last time was our big anniversary trip to Maggie Valley, NC)Debra and I are going on a little road trip to Suwanee! I love the sunshiny days, but I like the rain and dark overcast days, too. Everyone has been gearing up and talking about the storm -- heavy rain, winds and flooding. It is supposed to be fast moving, so it could give little warning and move very rapidly-quick downpours, stop and repeat. Ordinarily, from day to day, I don’t think much about the weather, just take whatever comes.
