Last night was just the best time! Pete and I, Tracy & Joe, Laurie & Geoff got together at our house for pizza and games. Priscilla and I went to Myakka State Park yesterday. We went early for the light and to avoid the heat of the day so as soon as the gates opened at 8 a.m., we were there. I recently took a picture from the bridge going into Longboat Key from the Coquina Beach area. Laurie was driving and there was nobody behind us so she stopped at the highest part of the bridge. Thank you to my LJ friend gurdonark for the correct bird ID -- without even seeing the bird! I had only written here earlier that I thought a Black Capped Chickadee visited Laurie’s feeder, and he graciously said it might be a Carolina Chickadee. We got back late last night. This morning we are getting acclimated to our home and home life again.
