Robinson Preserve is still closed for renovations and my favorite part is not scheduled to open until the end of this year or first of 2021. I have been checking on the progress when I’m on my way to Geraldson’s, our little neighborhood farmer’s market. This is especially for gordongirls.

I was at Fort DeSoto. I saw a spoonbill in a tree. A few minutes later I saw an osprey fly by with a fish. He circled and landed on the same branch as the spoonbill. The spoonbill started clacking its bill at the osprey, but the osprey stayed there and ate his fish.

I was at Myakka State Park on Saturday. On the way to the Weir, I saw two Vultures sitting on some deadwood to my left. I took a picture, and when I got home and looked at it closer, I realized there was a little vulture sitting in the grass below the adult.

There’s a small culvert at the end of our street that sometimes draws a few birds. Lately I’ve been noticing a Roseate Spoonbill visiting almost every day.
