I made a quick trip down to Palma Sola Botanical Park yesterday just before sunset and got a few pictures of the last light of day. The gnats were thick as gravy and the mosquitoes were hungry and horrible so I didn’t stay long at all. One got in the car with me and kept flying around my face and I almost went off the road! Everyone has been gearing up and talking about the storm -- heavy rain, winds and flooding. It is supposed to be fast moving, so it could give little warning and move very rapidly-quick downpours, stop and repeat. Remember when I posted those luscious pink water lotus pictures a while back? Well, the pink petals are gone now and what is left is this most unusual center.
