American Pie was a favorite of late night guitar sing-alongs of my youth, second in popularity perhaps only to Hotel California. Not only is it a good tune, but the enegmatic lyrics sparked much speculation about what it actually meant.
One of my Christmas gifts this year was a CD of Donovan’s Greatest Hits, which I have been listening to this morning. Earlier this year I wrote about wanting a new theme song. Today I learned that, in the Yes song "Roundabout", mountains come out of the sky. Not marmots, like I have been hearing (and singing) for years. Mountains.
Because mountains falling out of the sky makes soooo much more sense!
