I finally said "Merry Christmas" to someone today and it felt awkward coming out of my mouth. Exactly as you say... Too much to do, too much stress and it's all about ticking x number of things off a list and preparing for the potential devastation of someone getting their feelings hurt over something. I'm ready for it to be over with, really. Guess I'm saying "I hear ya..."
